We’re a team of local travel experts who have spent more than ten years each guiding travellers across Vietnam. Now we work together under one name, designing private journeys for families who travel across generations: grandparents, parents and little ones, all on the same trip, all enjoying it.
A new name, not new to this
For more than a decade, each of us guided travellers in our own corner of Vietnam: the heritage of Hue, the beaches and lantern streets of Da Nang and Hoi An, the caves of Phong Nha and the mountains of the North. We grew up in these places, and we still live in them.
In 2025 we decided to work together under one name: Vietnam Haven Travel. The name is new. The experience, the local friendships and the know-how behind it are not.
Over those years, we all kept noticing the same thing. Most tours are built for one kind of traveller: fit adults with lots of energy and a long list of sights. But the families who wrote to us looked different. A grandmother who couldn’t manage steep stairs. A toddler who needed a nap at one o’clock. Parents trying to give everyone a good holiday, and quietly exhausted from planning it.
So we stopped running tours the usual way. Today, we plan every journey around the youngest and the eldest in your group first. When they’re comfortable, everyone else has a better trip too.

Because we live where we guide, we know which beaches are calm before nine, which hotels really have lifts, which restaurants will happily make something mild for a picky five-year-old, and where a grandfather can sit in the shade with a cold coconut while the kids make lanterns.
We’re small on purpose. We host a limited number of families each month, so every trip gets our full attention, from the first message to the last goodbye at the airport.

Vietnam historical journeys · Battlefield expert
Nina started guiding more than ten years ago, taking travellers through Vietnam’s history, from the ancient citadels to the places that shaped the war years. Over time she noticed something: the most moving moments often happened when three generations heard the same story together, a grandfather who remembered the headlines, a teenager hearing it for the first time.
As a mum herself, she also knows what a long day looks like through a child’s eyes. That’s why she founded VN Haven: to plan trips where history, fun and rest fit into the same family day.

Duong Ngoc Quy, Ethan

Ethan grew up by the sea in Da Nang and has spent more than a decade showing travellers the coast he loves, from Hoi An’s lantern streets to the islands of the South. He’s the one who knows which beach is calm before nine, which café has a shady corner for grandma, and which seafood place will happily cook something mild for a picky five-year-old.
Since becoming a dad, he plans every day with nap times and snack stops in mind, because he knows a happy child makes for a happy family.

Van Ha, Helen

Helen was born and raised in Hue, and she still lives a short ride from the Citadel. For more than ten years she has guided travellers through the old capital’s palaces, pagodas and garden houses, and she has a gift for making history feel like a story, not a lecture.
Hue can be hot and the Citadel is big, so Helen plans every visit around the eldest and youngest first: electric cars instead of long walks, shaded breaks, and the quietest morning hours. Grandparents often tell her it was their favourite day of the trip.

Truong Hoang, Paul
Phong Nha · the North · Nature & northern trails
Paul has spent more than a decade leading travellers through Vietnam’s wildest landscapes, from the caves of Phong Nha to the rice terraces and valleys of the North. But his favourite groups aren’t the hardcore hikers. They’re the families who think adventure isn’t possible with a toddler and a grandmother, and then discover it is.
He finds the boat rides, flat trails and cave entrances that little legs and older knees can manage, and he always has a spare pair of dry socks in his bag.

The name is new: our local leads came together as Vietnam Haven Travel in 2025. But each of us has more than ten years of experience guiding travellers in our own region, and we work with the same trusted guides, drivers and hotels we’ve known for years.
Where are you based?
The company is registered in Da Nang, but the team isn’t tied to one office. Each local lead lives and works in the region they cover: Da Nang and Hoi An, Hue and Central heritage, Phong Nha and the North. Our operations team coordinates every trip.
Who will I be talking to?
A local lead, a real person who lives where you’re going. They design your itinerary with you, and our operations team takes care of bookings, guides and private drivers.
